The Brand New Solar Power Tax Credit Is Here !

If you've been considering solar for your home or business, it's now time to celebrate !

After nearly a year of debates and nine previous attempts, Congress finally approved a bill that not only extends the Federal 30% tax credit for solar but also removes the $2,000.00 cap that existed on the previous residential tax credit.  The new Federal tax credit offers an incredible 30% with no cap for residential and commercial installations !

You've got to hurry though, rebates all over The U.S. Are dropping fast.

Now that the Federal Tax Credit has been extended and increased, the number of applications that are being submitted to the utilities in an attempt to beat the clock before the current rebates expire has reached record levels.

Don't make the same mistake that so many others have made. The Federal tax credit will be here for the next eight years and as long as you bring your system into service after January 1st 2009 then you'll qualify for the tax credit. Rebates however are limited and are based a first come first served basis so it is imperative that you submit your rebate application as soon as possible. Waiting even a single day to submit your rebate application can result in a reduced rebate or even the entire loss of your state's current rebate.

We're so sure that ours is the best product at the best price, that we'll beat any nationally advertised price on our same, in stock, top of the line solar system or your system is free.

With the cost of natural gas and electricity going through the roof, it is now time to start thinking about your energy budget as a whole.

You can't make your own gasoline and you can't make your own natural gas, but now you CAN make your own electricity. And the best part about it is that the fuel to make own electricity falls from the sky everyday for free.

Thousands of utility customers throughout the U.S., who were tired of the high cost of electricity have taken advantage of the huge rebates and tax credits which are available for the installation of solar energy systems on their homes and businesses.

For example, In Colorado, Xcel customer owned solar systems of less than 10kW qualify for an Xcel Energy rebate of $1,000.00 per kilowatt with a maximum incentive of $10,000.00 plus
$0.09 per kWh of actual production (paid monthly).

And the Federal Government is offering a 30% tax credit with absolutely no cap residential and commercial applications. And unlike like the old solar energy systems of yesteryear that only produced hot water, these new systems actually produce electricity ! Clean reliable electricity to run lights, TVs, pumps, refrigerators, computers and many other appliances, all with free energy from the Sun.

Depending on the size system you choose and the number of loads you have running during the day, it is actually possible watch the power company's meter run backwards.

Since 1997 the staff here at Colorado Solar has developed an unmatched level of expertise in the design and implementation of systems that qualify for many State rebate programs. We offer free assistance in the design of your system, we can help you in locating a qualified, experienced contractor in your area and can even assist you with the submission of your rebate application to your State.

With more than 15,000 customers worldwide, we possess the knowledge, the experience and the strategic partnerships to make your transition into solar an experience that's not only enjoyable but also rewarding.

"The single most important criteria when choosing a solar panel is not price nor is it performance. It's the financial strength of the manufacturer behind the solar panel's warranty."

Thousands of U.S. consumers will make the same mistake this Summer that so many have made in the past of trying to save a few dollars by buying non name brand solar panels from small financially unsound manufacturers that probably won't be around in 3 or 4 years. When their solar panels fail due to poor workmanship and or materials, the only thing that these consumers will be left with is a bunch of glass and aluminum on their roofs that they will have to pay to have removed.

Only The Finest Available Products

Ask any alternative energy engineer, installer or dealer and they'll all tell you the same thing. With more than three gigawatts (3 billion watts) worth of Sunny Boy inverters sold and operating worldwide "The Sunny Boy SB6000US' proven technology makes this unit one of the best grid intertie inverters available on today's market." Like a fine German crafted sports car, the SB6000US is engineered in Germany and built in the U.S.A., the hotbed of the worlds finest renewable energy technology. We've taken SB6000US' unbeatable German craftsmanship and reliability a step further by adding one of the world's highest performance solar panels available.

When it comes to purchasing a solar system for your home or business it is crucial that you take a very close look at the solar panels that the dealer is offering you. After all, solar panels are the workhorse of any solar system. Far too many consumers simply purchase what ever it is that a dealer happens to have available without even looking at a specification sheet. Performance that is lacking by just a few percentage points or an inferior warranty can make all the difference in the world over the expected life of a solar panel.

With more than nine years of experience operating our own state of the art, in-house solar repair center, we know what technologies perform well in the real world and what technologies do not.

Over the years, we've seen expensive, name brand, solar panels fail only after a few months worth of use. We've even seen popular U.S. made solar panels fail soon after the manufacturer closed its doors leaving its customers with no warranty.

This is why it is important that you choose a solar panel manufacturer that is well established in the industry and has the financial strength to be there in the event that a warranty claim arises. This is exactly why we chose Suntech for our Platinum series solar systems.

Suntech knows how important quality is to its customers and has implemented a tiered, multi-step approach to quality control that follows the production of its solar products from inception to completion. At Suntech every quality control officer is given ownership of individual production processes to ensure responsible management. Standard Operating Procedures are strictly adhered to and a key focus of each supervisor.

At each level of quality control there is a redundant series of inspections by multiple qualified QC professionals ensuring that each product meets their stringent, internal expectations of quality.

When it comes to performance, reliability, quality and value, absolutely no other brand tops Suntech.

Thin might be in when it comes to waistlines and the latest HDTV sets but when it comes to securing the bulk of your investment to the roof of your home you want the strongest mounting system made out of the highest quality aircraft grade aluminum that money can buy. The engineers at HatiCon understand this premise and we do too so we've added the finest mounting rack systems available today. HatiCon Solar Mounting Systems are unsurpassed in quality and durability, rated to withstand 120 miles per hour wind speeds, HatiCon Solar Mounting Systems are engineered to last a lifetime.

Finally we top off our systems with the best price that you'll find anywhere. In fact, we're so sure that ours is the best deal available, that we'll beat any nationally advertised price on our same, in stock, top of the line systems or your system is free.

Unlike other dealers that will sell you a barebones system, our premium quality kits include everything you see listed above.

Solar Panel Comparison

California and other states have adopted a much more stringent system to rate real world performance of solar panels. This rating system assigns what is known as a PTC (PVUSA Test Conditions) rating to each solar panel that is approved for use in their rebate programs.

This rating system was developed to test and compare PV systems as part of the PVUSA (Photovoltaics for Utility Scale Applications) project.

The PTC rating, which is lower than the STC (Standard Test Conditions) rating, is generally recognized as a more realistic measure of PV output because the test conditions better reflect "real-world" solar and climatic conditions, compared to the STC rating.

This System uses solar panels that have been manufactured with solar cells that have been cut from solid ingots of silicon.

When shopping for solar panels, always insist on solar panels that use solar cells that have been cut from a solid silicon ingot.
Many of the solar panels that are on the market that use silicon that is not cut from solid silicon ingots may offer lower efficiencies, poorer tolerances or lesser warranties.

1. Price. Compare our high performance Suntech systems to a Sunpowerâ system and you'll find that our systems are priced up to thousands of dollars less than the same sized Sunpowerâ system.

2. Efficiency. Yes it is true that Sunpower offers an efficiency rating that's a few percentage points higher but is that worth the higher price ? What does higher efficiency really mean to you as a consumer ? Well not much unless you have limited roof space.

Some consumers are under the mistaken notion that somehow a higher efficiency panel offers more power than a lower efficiency panel. The bottom line is that a 230 watt solar panel from one manufacturer puts out the same 230 watts as a panel from any other manufacturer. To use an old saying "watts is watts" in other words a pound of lead weighs the same as a pound of steel, the only difference is the area that the material takes up. So if you have sufficient roof space, why pay a much higher price for your solar system.

3. Negative Tolerance. Sunpowerâ offers a considerably poorer negative tolerance rating than Suntech. (negative 5% for Sunpower and a much better negative 3% for Suntech) In other words when you buy a Sunpowerâ 230 watt solar panel, their specification sheet guarantees that their solar panel's power rating will not fall below 218.5 watts right out of the box, even though you paid for 230 watts. That's like paying for a dozen eggs and only being guaranteed of getting 11.4 eggs in the carton. You have to ask yourself what good is a few percentage points of higher efficiency if you might lose 5% of your power right out of the box ? With Suntech's negative 3% tolerance rating you're guaranteed of getting more of the power that you paid for.

4. Company Size. Suntech recently achieved the incredible milestone of 1.2 Gigawatt of solar cell and module production. That's over a billion watts ! Not even Sharpâ, First Solarâ or Q Cellsâ has reached this level of production. And Sunpowerâ....not even close. Suntech has the size and financial muscle to be there decades from now should warranty services are ever needed.

Weight Matters

We only uses heavy duty inverters with 60 Hertz based, copper wound output transformers for high efficiency and unbeatable durability and performance.

Copper is expensive but its time tested performance in inverters is undeniable.

Since the year 2000 our founder has owned and operated one of the largest most experienced factory authorized  inverter repair centers in the nation and we know the value of using a heavy duty 60 Hertz based output transformer.

Because of our in depth knowledge concerning the design, construction and repair of inverters, we simply will not use HF (high frequency) inverters in our systems.

Before making a buying decision, better ask how much the other dealer's inverter weighs, then ask to see the inverter's specification sheet to be sure.

Many of our competitors use inverters with lower cost, HF (high frequency) output transformers.

Compare the Sunny Boy SB5000US inverter that we offer with the Fronius® IG 5100 that the other dealers offer:

Comparison

Fronius® IG 5100

Sunny Boy SB5000US

CEC Weighted Efficiency

A higher California Energy Commission efficiency rating means
that you'll get a higher rebate in many state as well as more
wattage out of your system to your electric meter.

Inverter Weight

 143 LBS
The higher weight in the Sunny Boy SB5000US is due to the heavy duty copper wound output transformer that is used in this inverter.

What more can we say, If you want a lower wattage, lower efficiency, lighter weight inverter that's going to give you a smaller per PTC watt rebate then those other dealers have exactly what your looking for.

Strong I Beam Mounting Rails

I beams have a long proven history in the construction industry. The I beam's efficient load bearing design lends itself perfectly for securing your investment into solar onto your roof's surface.

For an extremely limited time, we will upgrade this high quality Unirac ClickSys mounting system to Unirac's heavier duty SolarMount mounting system at no additional Charge.

Hurry this offer expires soon !

Low Cost, Light Weight C Shaped Rails Without A Factory Warranty Are Not Permitted In Any Of Our Systems.

The C shaped rail that many other dealers offer provides a flimsier design and don't even come with a factory warranty. To prove our point ask your dealer to provide a sample of their C shaped mounting rail. Lay the sample on its side and simply stand on it.

Note what happens to this rail. Next try the same thing with a box beam rail from HatiCon and you'll know right away which design offers you more piece of mind.

Because many C shaped rails use far less aluminum, the result is a flimsier design which will require many more holes drilled into your roof to provide the rigidity that is necessary to support the solar panels. Drilling more holes into your roof can increase labor costs as well as increase the risk of a leak.

Also HatiCon's tall rail provides more air flow for increased cooling. Solar electric panels work off of light not heat. Heat is a solar panel's worst enemy, the cooler a solar panels is, the more power it will produce.

Always ask your dealer to show you a sample of the mounting rails the he's going to use on your roof. ******

Important: If you've been provided with a quote with no mention of the brand or model number of the mounting system that your dealer is using, then we can almost guaranty that the dealer is probably trying to sell you one of the many low cost, thin aluminum racks that are available on the market. This is a common practice amongst less reputable  dealers. Always demand to see a full list of material including brands and models and ALWAYS ask for a copy of the mounting system's factory warranty.

Here's Why This Solar System Blows The Competition's Solar System Out Of The Water.

1. Suntech Solar is now the largest solar manufacturer in the world with over 1.2 Gigawatt of production. (That over 1,200 megawatts !) Suntech solar panels are currently being used in over 300,000 rooftop installations.

1. Suntech Solar panels are known the world over for their superior quality and performance and have one of the best per Watt PTC ratings for any mono or poly solar panel on the US market.

2. You'll get a bigger per Watt rebate in many states when comparing the Suntech Solar panels used in this system to many other solar panel in it's class on the market.

3. Suntech Solar Panels use solar cells that are cut from a solid ingot of silicon which provide higher efficiency. Many of our competitors use less expensive, lower efficiency thin film solar panels or solar panels with cells that are not cut from a solid ingot of silicon.

4. If your dealer is trying to convince you to buy thin film solar panels and he's trying to convince you that his panels offer high efficiency, keep this mind; Given the current state of the technology, using the word thin film and the words high efficiency in the same sentence is an oxymoron or a contradiction of terms.. Silicon based thin film products are among the lowest efficiency products on the market when compared to mono-crystalline or even poly-crystalline solar panels.

5. The top of the line Sunny Boy inverters that are used in these system are engineered and manufactured in Germany.

5. The top of the line PV Powered inverters that are used in these system are engineered and manufactured in the U.S.A.

6. Both The top of the line Sunny Boy inverters and the top of the line PV Powered inverters used in these systems incorporate a heavy duty, 60 hz based, copper wound output transformer. Many of the inverters offered by the other dealers are manufactured in third world countries and use lower cost high frequency transformers.

7. The mounting racks that are included in these systems are heavier duty U.S. made Unirac SolarMount mounting racks, not the lower cost, lighter duty mounting racks that require more holes to be drilled in your roof that are offered by many of our competitors.
